On June 5, the Party Committee of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (IT) held a ceremony to attach product plaques to welcome the 5th Congress of IT Corporation Party Committee, term 2025-2030 for 03 projects including: ST245-ESCV NB82 Ship (Song Cam Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company), 45,000 DWT Bulk Carrier (Ha Long Shipbuilding Company) and 13,000 DWT Oil/Chemical Tanker No. 2 "BS ULSAL" (Pha Rung Shipbuilding Company).

These are typical works, crystallizing the intelligence, creative labor and the spirit of tireless dedication of the staff, workers and employees.

ST245-ESCV NB82 Ship - Song Cam Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company

The ST245 Ship is not only a ship, but also a symbol of innovation and expansion of Song Cam Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company. The ship was designed in Norway and supervised by the prestigious DNV Register, this ship is a perfect combination of modern marine technology and the strictest safety standards.

The ship is used for the main purpose of installing and testing oil rigs and especially installing offshore wind power, the ST245 Ship affirms its pioneering role in the field of renewable energy, contributing to the sustainable development strategy.

The special highlight of the ST245 Ship is the use of methanol fuel for generators, not using the main engine. This is an important breakthrough, demonstrating the Company's commitment to reducing emissions, protecting the environment and pioneering the application of green technology in the shipbuilding industry. The ship's flexible operation thanks to 02 rudder propellers and 03 bow propellers also shows the modernity of the control system.

Ship ST245-ESCV NB82 is a symbol of innovation and expansion of Song Cam Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company.

The ST245 ship is 116.5m long, 23m wide, and weighs approximately 4,000 tons. It is made up of 90 sections and 10 decks, and uses PSPC paint standards for ballast tanks. All of these demonstrate the massive scale and meticulousness and sophistication in each stage of the Company's production.

Up to now, the ship has been newly built and fully assembled on the Company's side. This is the result of thousands of hours of hard work, sweat, effort and intelligence of the Company's team of engineers and skilled workers.

According to the plan, the ship will be launched at the end of June 2025 and handed over to the investor Myklebust Norway at the end of October 2025. Completion and handover of the ship on schedule not only affirms the Company's reputation in the international market but also opens up many new cooperation opportunities, contributing to enhancing the position of the Vietnamese shipbuilding industry.

45,000 DWT Bulk Carrier - Ha Long Shipbuilding Company

The 45,000-ton bulk carrier project is one of the key projects implemented by the Corporation at the Ha Long Shipbuilding Company's facility with the goal of building new bulk carriers with large tonnage; meeting international standards, serving market demand and affirming the position and brand of the Vietnamese shipbuilding industry in the international arena.

The project started on May 7, 2023 and is expected to be handed over before June 30, 2025. The ship has an overall length of 185m, a width of 31m, a side height of 16m, a design speed of 13.2 nautical miles/hour, and a total load of 45,000T. The ship was designed by the Joint Venture of Vietnam Shipbuilding Engineering Joint Stock Company (Visec) and Bluetech. The ship has a number of outstanding features as follows: Adding a flow-directing structure right in front of the propeller, ensuring the ship operates stably, reaching and exceeding the design speed. There are SCR, Urea exhaust treatment systems, improved ballast systems to ensure the requirements for exhaust gas and waste treatment according to maritime convention regulations. Hydraulic hatch cover opening and closing system and modern deck crane system. The 45000T ship is designed to meet the EEDI phase 3 convention: The EEDI Convention (Energy Efficiency Design Index) is an important index in improving the energy efficiency of ships, regulated by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) within the framework of the MARPOL Convention. This convention requires new ships to achieve a minimum level of energy efficiency, in order to reduce CO2 emissions from ships.

The ship was constructed under strict supervision according to the standards of the international Lloyds Register, ensuring stable operation, fuel economy and environmental friendliness.

Right from the beginning of implementation, the company's leadership closely directed the entire production organization process; mobilize resources, materials, human resources and construction equipment. Up to now, all main construction items of the project have been basically completed.

The 45,000-ton bulk carrier is one of the key projects carried out at the facility of Ha Long Shipbuilding Company.

The ship was launched in August 2024 and successfully conducted long-distance trials last May. The long-distance trials ensured that all technical parameters and operating features were in accordance with the design. The power, electrical - automation, steering, lifesaving, communication systems, etc. all operated stably, fully meeting the functions according to the design and standards of the ship owner and international inspection. The project is entering the stage of completing the handover documents, final acceptance and is ready to hand over the ship to the investor on schedule, before June 30, 2025.

During the implementation process, the project has always focused on ensuring absolute safety at work, environmental sanitation and quality control. All items are closely monitored by an experienced technical team, in regular coordination with representatives of the ship owner and the inspection agency. No serious work accidents occurred during the construction process as a result of scientific organization, high sense of responsibility and solidarity, and tireless efforts of all cadres, workers and employees participating in the project.

The 45,000-ton ship project is a clear demonstration of the production - management - construction capacity of Ha Long Shipbuilding Company, of the Vietnamese shipbuilding industry, and at the same time affirms the trust, maturity and political mettle of the staff, party members and employees in the period of integration and development. This is a project that clearly demonstrates the spirit of overcoming difficulties, creativity, promoting internal strength and solidarity of the collective of cadres, party members and employees, making a practical contribution to the completion of political tasks and production and business plans of Ha Long Shipbuilding Company in particular and of the whole Corporation in general.

13,000 DWT oil/chemical tanker No. 2 “BS ULSAL” - Pha Rung Shipbuilding Company

The 13,000-ton oil/chemical tanker No. 2 named "BS ULSAN" was newly built by Pha Rung Shipbuilding Company and exported to Korea from July 20, 2023. This is the second product in a series of 10 newly built 13,000-ton oil/chemical tankers for a Korean shipowner. The 13,000-ton oil/chemical tanker has the following basic parameters: Overall length: 128.6 m; Width: 20.4 m; Side height: 11.5 m; Draft: 8.7 m. The ship was designed by FESDEC Design Company - Korea and classified by KR Register. Pha Rung is a unit with strengths in building new Handysize oil/chemical tankers.

The ship “BS ULSAL” is expected to be completed on June 30, 2025. After being put into use, it will contribute to improving maritime transport capacity and promoting import and export activities. The project brings practical economic efficiency, creates jobs and affirms the shipbuilding capacity of the Company and the domestic shipbuilding industry.

The 13,000-ton oil/chemical tanker No. 2 named “BS ULSAN” is the only series of key newly built products that Pha Rung Shipbuilding Company has focused its resources on implementing, contributing to the completion of the 2025 production and business plan assigned by the superiors and is also one of the targets set out in the Resolution of the 16th Party Congress of the Company, term 2025-2030.
